Roadtrip Split For Men's Basketball

SUNY Adirondack Men’s Basketball started their western weekend tour on Saturday afternoon at Genesee Community College. Adirondack led the first half, up to the last :30 seconds. It was a one-point lead at the half for Genesee. The second half wouldn’t prove to be successful for the Timberwolves. They started to falter about half way through the second half and could not regain composure. Final score 81-64, Genesee
Ben Aprilante bucketed 15 points, had 2 assists, 2 steals and 10 rebounds while Tyre Williams put up 18 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 block. DJ Garrett came off the bench to add 10 points and 2 rebounds. Cam Majors pulled down 14 rebounds, had 2 steals, 7 points and 5 assists.

Adirondack Men’s Basketball didn’t have much time to hang their heads as they were back on the court Sunday in a match-up against Corning Community College. It was another tight first half with the Timberwolves coming out with a 2-point advantage over the Red Barrons. Turnovers by Corning, and more consistent offensive by Adirondack, proved to be the difference in the Timberwolves taking the win. Final score 88-67, Adirondack.
The starters proved productive. Tyre Williams had another 18 points on the game with 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds. Josh Goscinski added 17 points, 1 assist, 2 steals and 4 rebounds. Cam Majors put up 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, taking 2 steals and adding 6 assists. Shandres Serrata had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal and assist.
These games closed out the first semester for Adirondack, now with a record of 3-10 on the season. The Timberwolves will return to the court on January 11 in a match-up against Fulton-Montgomery.
