Softball Falls to #3 Ranked Herkimer
The SUNY Adirondack Softball team lost two games at home this afternoon to Herkimer, 15-0 and 9-1.
The first game of the afternoon was a rough go for the Timberwolves against the #3 ranked team in division III. Maddi Mann broke up what would have been a no hitter for Herkimer in the fourth inning, the only Timberwolves hit on the game.
The second game of the double header was another tough go for SUNY Adirondack. The Timberwolves got on the board first in this one when Taylor Ringer scored in the first inning after getting on base to open the game. The lead would not last long however, Herkimer scored two of their own in the first inning and ran with it after that. Taylor Ringer and Rachel Yattaw were the only Timberwolves to collect a hit in this one.
After the two losses today, SUNY Adirondack is now 12-18 on the season and 12-10 in conference play.
They will wrap up the regular season on Friday May 10th when they will take on Word of Life at Morse Athletic Complex in Glens Falls, NY. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM.
