Two Big Wins For Men's Basketball

Adirondack Men’s Basketball was back from break and on the road taking on regionally ranked Fulton-Montgomery. It was hard work for the Timberwolves from the tip off. Down by 16 at the half, Adirondack was doing their best to keep up. The Raiders controlled the game and cruised to a win.

SUNY Adirondack Men’s Basketball hosted Tompkins Cortland in their first of two weekend games. First half play was evenly matched with Adirondack behind by 3 points at the break. A second half battle ensued with the Timberwolves catching up and both teams going point for point right down to the wire. Adirondack’s Ben Aprilante took the last shot of the game to give the Timberwolves the win at the buzzer. Final score 65-63, Adirondack
It was a team effort on the scoreboard with all starters putting up double-digit scores. Donnell Campbell put up 15 points, 3 assists, 1 steal and 4 rebounds. Cam Majors had a double-double with 14 points, 4 assists, 1 steal and 14 rebounds. Ben Aprilante also had a double-double with 12 points, 6 assists, 17 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Adirondack Men’s Basketball was back on their home court hosting SUNY Broome after an exciting win the day before. After a 12-point lead by Adirondack to start the game, Broome got organized and equalized the score. It was another point-for-point game, with the Timberwolves down two at the half. The second half proved just as exciting, as the intensity increased. The teams were forced into overtime and, once again, the game result came down to the wire and a buzzer beater by Adirondack to take the win. Final score 88-86, Adirondack
It was a team effort with almost all players contributing on the scoreboard. Tyre Williams put up 21 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, 1 block and 4 rebounds. Ben Aprilante contributed 17 points, 3 assists, 1 block and 9 rebounds. Donnell Campbell added 13 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Cam Majors had another double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal and block.
The Timberwolves with take the confidence boost on the road when they head to North Country CC on Wednesday.
