Baseball Signs Burchhardt and Savoie
Baseball continued an amazing off season signing period by inking two local standouts today.
Alec Burchhardt is a 6'5'' 225 pound pitcher and outfielder who will be a senior at Schalmont this season. He will add a lot of power to the Timberwolves lineup and may even find a little more as he grows into his frame. He led Schalmont in home runs as a junior last year and will be their ace this season on the mound.
A.J. Savoie is a class of 2018 signing out of Mohonasen, where he stars as a third baseman for a team that won the sectional title for the first time in nearly a decade. He was the hitting hero of the sectional championship as he went 3 for 4 with a double against South Glens Falls to lead his team into regionals.
Both players come to SUNY Adirondack from the Upstate Orioles, one of the best summer baseball programs in the Capital District and coached by the legendary Bobby Krogh.
"Savoie is an extremely good hitting utility infielder who comes from one of the best high school programs in Section II," said Job.
Job describes Burchhardt as, " a top of the rotation guy while also playing a corner outfield and hitting in the middle of the lineup."
Welcome to the family Alec and A.J.
