Breanna MacDuff Named Player of the Week
Breanna MacDuff has been dominating all season and was rewarded for her efforts this week as Region III named her the Female Athlete of the Week.
MacDuff is the setter for Coach Li's squad and a second year starter from Hudson Falls. The 5'5'' sophomore assisted on over 500 kills last season as a freshman and has ramped up that pace this season to lead her team to a 6-3 record on the year.
"Bre is a very good setter and has gotten better from her freshman year. She is a very big part of our winning this season," said Coach Li.
MacDuff is averaging nearly 9 assists per set and has gone over the 30 mark in 5 of her matches this season. She is currently 8th in the NJCAA in that statistic and 2nd in Region III.
Director of Athletics Jonathan Sisk said, "Breanna has been the rock for the volleyball team this season. She controls the flow of the game and puts her teammates in position to attack from a place of strength, which makes everyone around her better. She's fun to watch."
Congratulations Breanna!
