Timberwolves Win on Huge Night For Zita
Matt Zita's 4 hits propelled the Timberwolves to a win over Westchester County, 7 to 6.
Zita scored on an Erik Wettersten double in the first inning to take an early lead and they would add 3 more runs in the 2nd inning to jump out to a big 4-0 lead as Matt Zita doubled in 2 runs in the inning.
Westchester would climb back into the game in the bottom of the 2nd with 3 runs of their own, but a Jared Winkle RBI triple followed by a Zita RBI single would extend the lead in the 4th inning for the Timberwolves.
Westchester scratched back in once again with a 2 run tie game inducing 6th inning to put pressure on Coach Job's squad. They would answer with confidence in the 7th inning as John Stewart earned a lead off walk and was moved around by a Jordan Prehoda single and sacrifice bunt by Brent McGhee before Jared Winkle drove in what would be the winning run on a single to right field that plated the 7th run of the game.
The Timberwolves play the second game of the double header immediately following warm ups.
