SUNY Adirondack Baseball Falls Just Short vs. Jefferson C.C
SUNY Adirondack Baseball rallied in the final inning of play, but came up a run short. The Timberwolves trailed 5-1 entering the bottom half of the 7th inning of play before clawing back to bring the game to within a run. However, the bases were left loaded after a fly ball to left that ended both the 7th inning rally and the ballgame 5-4.
Greg Johnson started the game for the Timberwolves, allowing one run on two hits and striking out two. Joe Micare and Vincent Valenti entered the game in relief, throwing four innings and one inning repectively.
The Timberwolves were led at the plate by Matt Zita, who went 2-4 with 2 RBI's and Jordan Prehoda, who went 1-3 with a double and 2 RBI's.
The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves return to action on Tuesday, April 24th versus Mohawk Valley Community College at East Field.
