Wettersten/ Zita Dominate Royals For Win
The Timberwolves picked up a Region III win in game one against Schenectady by a final score of 11 to 1.
Erik Wettersten and Matt Zita provided all of the fuel needed to burn the Royals chances of a victory to the ground. After the smoke cleared Wettersten's line was 3 for 3 with 2 runs, 3 RBI, a walk and a stolen base. Somehow Zita one upped him by going 3 for 3 with 3 runs, 3 RBI, a double and steal. Aaron Cook, sandwiched between Wettersten and Zita, had a great day at the plate as well going 2 for 4.
Ben Marsh pitched well and continued his Region III dominance with a 5 inning, 1 run, 3 hit performance. He struck out 3 Royals and took the complete game win.
The Timberwolves next play Schenectady in the game two of their home double header.
