Team Stats
Game 2
Niagara County Community College
The baseball team had a spectacular season, but all good things come to an end at some point and that point was in the first round of the Regional playoffs at # 3 ranked Niagara.
Niagara jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 2 innings, but Aaron Cook and Jordan Prehoda chipped away with a pair of RBI singles in the 3rd.
The Thunderwolves plated 2 more runs in the 4th and another in the 5th to go up 6-2. A three run home run increased their lead to 9-2 after 6.
Coach Job's team never quits though and they put pressure on the pitching staff and defense in the 7th, 8th and 9th innings as they scratched back into the game. Aaron Cook singled home John Stewart in the 7th, Jared Winkle doubled home a run and scored on John Stewart's single in the 8th and the team battled ferociously in the 9th to score a run on 4 walks and force Niagara to use their University of Albany bound closer to put them away. They had great at bats off of the hard thrower and drew two of those walks and a run off of him, but he was able to close the game out with a final score of 9-6.
