Fulton Montgomery Defeats Timberwolves
Fulton Montgomery defeated the Timberwolves 83 to 64.
Fulton Montgomery came to Ben Davis Court to take on the Timberwolves and jumped out to a quick lead that they would never relinquish. The starting 5 struggled early and didn't score in the first several minutes of the game, which prompted Coach Haskell to make a drastic move and sub in 5 fresh players early in the half. The move paid off immediately as Jordan Green found pay dirt from behind the arc for the first 3 points of the contest and the new five cut into the lead and kept it close throughout their run. Near the end of the half Elijah Davis and Demani Smith put on a show for the crowd and cut the deficit to 7 with a stylish steal at half court and break away dunk.
The second half unfortunately was all Fulton Montgomery as they opened up a lead and kept extending it through the final buzzer for a final result of 83 to 64.
Demani Smith ended the contest with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Cam Jett, who came in during the early subs, added 11 points on 3 three pointers.
The Timberwolves have a long break to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday before playing again on the 29th at Mohawk Valley.
