Timberwolves Fall to Generals
Herkimer was in control for much of the game as the Timberwolves struggled to replace the offense of Elijah Davis who sat with a minor lower body injury. They were also without Connor Stone, who would have been the recipient of minutes that saw Demani Smith sitting while in foul trouble in both halves.
Without key players they fell behind early and took a 40-31 deficity into the locker room. Herkimer never ran away with the game, but the Timberwolves were never able to shrink the deficit as they exchanged baskets for much of the second half en route to a 78-65 loss.
Cam Jett continued his outstanding play and had the Herkimer crowd giving him props by the end of the game as he led the team with 18 points and was 4 of 7 from deep. Michael Tillman also shot the ball very well from the field. He was 3 of 7 including 2 three point field goals for 14 points. Shea Irish found double figures with 12 points.
Jacquan Thompson led the team in assists and rebounding with 4 and 6 to go with his 9 points on the night.
The Timberwolves next play on February 22nd at home versus Columbia-Greene on Sophomore Appreciation Night and the final home game of the season.
