McFee Finishes NJCAA Divsion 3 Championship In 19th Place

SUNY Adirondack Men's Golf stand-out, Patrick McFee, was the lone golfer from Adirondack to qualify for the NJCAA Division 3 Men's Golf Championship. The 72-hole tournament was played over four days in Chautauqua, NY. Eighty-four men's golfers participated in the event.

Day 1 had McFee in a large grouping of golfers finishing the day with same score. He was in a 5-way tie for 22^nd place, all shooting a 79, just 10 strokes off the lead.

Day 2 had McFee improving his score to 76, moving himself into 16^th place, the lowest score of all Region 3 golfers in the tournament.

Day 3 started with a two-hour rain delay. After finally getting on the course, McFee was consistent in his play, posting a 77 putting him in a 3-way tie for 15^th place.

Day 4 was the last day of the championship. McFee fell just off pace with a score of 83. His 4-day total score of 315 was just 4 strokes off the next lower score. McFee finished in 19^th place overall, just one spot out of All-American honors.
