The Timberwolves came into this game on a 2 game winning streak looking to keep streaking, but Hudson Valley had other ideas. The home team came out a little lackluster to start the game and Hudson Valley's attackers took advantage by finding the back of the net in the first 90 seconds of play. The Timberwolves defense would pick it up after that and not allow another goal over the next 53 minutes of play, due in large part to the ball hawking and effort of Alex Dickinson. Dickinson seemed to be involved in every defensive play as he collected 11 clearances and blocked 2 shots on the day. He had many more deflections and was in great position to defend the ball all day.
The offense struggled to break through as our attack was only able to put 3 shots on goal and saw several passes in the box deflected or fielded by the goal keeper to end attacks. Morris led the team in shots with 2 and showed his frustration on several occasions during the game, culminating in a yellow card.
The Timberwolves next play Corning on Sunday the 17th at home and will be looking to bounce back.
