Anoka-Ramsey Defeats Timberwolves
The Timberwolves lost to Anoka-Ramsey as they ended a long day that included an extra inning contest earlier in the afternoon. The Golden Rams put up 10 runs to polish off the green and gold.
Danielle Flint was once again right in the middle of a Timberwolves scoring progression as she singled in the 2nd inning, moved over on a Carly Hildenbrandt single and scored on a fly ball hit by Kiersten Brown that was misplayed in the outfield by a Golden Ram defender. The run would be the only tally put up by the Timberwolves, but was the 3rd game of the 4 played by her team that Flint has produced a run either by driving it in or scoring it herself.
Flint ended the contest 1 for 2 with a run scored. Carly Hildenbrandt also went 1 for 2.
Elizabeth Richards struggled on the mound giving up 12 hits and 7 earned runs on the day, however she did strike out 2 Golden Rams and collect a single from the top of the lineup.
The Timberwolves next play New Hampshire Tech on the morning of March 13th as their opening week continues in Florida.
