Timberwolves Drop Contest to Rowan College of Gloucester County
The Timberwolves fell behind early as RCGC put up 4 runs in the first inning and 6 more in the third to take an insurmountable lead.
Coach Celeste's team would mount a valiant comeback attempt in the 4th inning as Ronasia Charles, Bailey Hasemann and Elizabeth Richards connected for back to back to back 2 out RBI singles to put up a 4 spot in the runs column. Unfortunately it wouldn't be enough to overcome the early deficit and they would fall 15 to 4.
Kaylee Coon had a great day at the plate going 2 for 2 with a run scored. Elizabeth Richards went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Ronasia Charles ended the contest at 1 for 2 with a run scored and RBI in that 4th inning and Hannah Salmon found 2 hits on the day.
The Timberwolves next play on March 16th versus Iowa Central to conclude their opening week in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
