Big 5th Inning Propels Timberwolves Over Fulton-Montgomery
Coach Celeste and the Timberwolves took care of business in Fulton-Montgomery with a big 5th inning to defeat the Raiders 10 to 1.
The offense exploded in the 5th inning after allowing the opposition to be within striking distance for much of the game. It was 3 to 1 going into the top of the 5th inning, but the lid would come off as they would bat around, centered around a Kiersten Brown RBI double. It was Brown's second double of the game and put the nail in the coffin.
Bailey Hasemann pitched another terrific game, going 5 innings and allowing only 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 7.
Brown was the offensive star, but she had plenty of help from Kaitlyn Sarti, Hannah Grady and Elizabeth Richards who collected 2 hits each on 3 at bats and produce 5 runs combined.
The Timberwolves play the second game of their double header up next.
