Coach Celeste and the Timberwolves, looking to make Regional play for the first time in program history, took care of business at Finger Lakes with 16 to 4 and 9 to 1 victories.
In game one the green and gold rode a 9 run 3rd inning to an easy win. Elizabeth Richards was the offensive star as she went 3 for 4 to raise her team leading batting average and collected the only extra base hit of the day with a double. 4 of her teammates reached base 3 or more times behind her as Bailey Hasemann, Kaylee Coon and Hannah Grady walked twice and got two knocks each. Kiersten Brown had 2 hits and a walk.
Hasemann also struck out 7 in the win.
In game two there was a little more anticipation, but a similar end result as the Lakers held the game tied through 3, but Kaitlyn Sarti's 2 run double led a 3 run inning to take the lead in the 4th and a 5 run 5th inning ended the game early, centered around an RBI double from Kaylee Coon, who crushed two 2-baggers.
The Timberwolves next play Monroe at home on Sunday, May 6th.
