Softball Can't Keep Up In Loss

SUNY Adirondack Softball played the second game of their doubleheader against Community College of Rhode Island. Adirondack opened up the scoring in the first inning after Alyssa Jaffe doubled, scoring one run. Timberwolf, Olivia Frazier, doubled on a fly ball to center field, scoring Samantha Manning and Aubreigh DeMello. Marissa Jarvis doubled on a fly ball to left field, allowing Frazier to score. Three more runs were scored over the next three innings. Frazier led the Timberwolves with two runs batted in. Morgan Randall and Manning each collected two hits for Adirondack.
DeMello began the game for Adirondack. The right-hander allowed five hits and five runs over one inning, walking one. Manning took the loss for the Timberwolves. The southpaw went three innings, giving up 12 runs on 11 hits and striking out one and walking six. Final score 17-7, CCRI
Adirondack Softball is back on the field on Saturday, facing regional opponent Jefferson.
