Sofball Falls After Surrendering Big Third Inning

Adirondack Softball was back on the field for game two of a doubleheader with Herkimer. Marissa Jarvis started of the scoring for the Timberwolves with a solo homerun to the bottom of the first inning. Although the Generals were in the lead with six runs in the bottom of the second inning, the Timberwolves stepped up to the bag and took back the lead, 7-6. They scored six runs on six hits. Lillian Slattery started the action when she doubled on a hard ground ball scoring Alyssa Jaffe and Samantha Manning. Marissa Jarvis singled on a fly ball to right field, scoring Slattery. Maddy Wasserman singled on a fly ball to center field, scoring Aubreigh DeMello. Morgan Randall singled on a line drive to left field, scoring Madison Pincheon. Jarvis scored on a steal of home to wrap up the inning.
Wasserman began the game in the circle for Adirondack. The starting pitcher gave up 16 hits and 16 runs over three and one-third innings, striking out zero and walking five. DeMello faced eight Generals in relief, giving up three hits and three runs over one and two-thirds innings. Final score 19-7, Herkimer
Adirondack Softball plays in their last home game of the season on Saturday against regional opponent Tompkins Cortland.
