Timberwolves Fall to Raiders
The Timberwolves traveled to Fulton-Montgomery to take on the Raiders, but the home field advantage was too much to overcome as they fell by a score of 60 to 55.
The second quarter was the undoing for the green and gold as they were outscored 19 to 10 and were never able to close the gap, despite the best efforts of Kylee Brand.
Brand displayed her post skill set all day as she grabbed 13 boards and produced 21 points, both team leading numbers. She found the charity stripe consistently and knocked down 8 of her 8 attempts.
Her partner in the score book, Brianna McKinney, tallied 14 points, but made a difference in all facets of the game. She has developed into a well rounded, full court threat this season and showed it today. She snatched 7 rebounds, good for second on the team, found pay dirt 6 times on her passes while only turning the ball over once, leading the team and even found time to block two shots while only picking up two fouls.
Kaicey Sardina led the team in steals with 6 and grabbed 7 rebounds.
The Timberwolves are back in action on Wednesday, January 31st against rival Hudson Valley.
