Timberwolves Fall to # 4 Mohawk Valley
Mohawk Valley hosted the Timberwolves and showed why they are still ranked in the top 5 nationally. The Timberwolves came out of the gates strong and led after the first quarter 18 to 12, but that lead dissipated quickly in the second quarter, never to be heard from again. In the final three quarters of play Mohawk Valley outpaced Coach Quattrocchi's team by 26 to take a 73 to 53 victory in their home gym.
Kylee Brand led the Timberwolves in scoring with 19 points before fouling out on a technical foul as emotions boiled over in a very physical contest. Brianna McKinney followed her up with 14 points. Kaicey Sardina had a great game as well as she grabbed 15 boards against very tall, very big and very aggressive Eagles rebounders. Sardina also led the team in steals with 4 and assists with 3 to go with her 8 points, which she notched with only 5 field goal attempts.
The Timberwolves next play at home on Thursday, February 8th against North County.
