Timberwolves Fall to Columbia-Greene
The Timberwolves celebrated their sophomores as they ended their home schedule tonight against Columbia-Greene. Each of the four sophomores received a bouquet of flowers and a round of applause from the audience before their game began with their parents coming out to the floor to celebrate their careers and achievements. Brianna McKinney, Kylee Brand, Kate Bourdeau and Kaicey Sardina were honored before tip off.
After tip off Columbia-Greene took the center stage though as they ran out to a quick 7-0 lead and led 17-10 at the end of the first quarter and 32-23 at the half. They would only extend that lead as the game went on to defeat the Timberwolves 62-46.
Kylee Brand was her normal dominant self on the boards, grabbing 10 and tallying 16 points to lead the team in scoring and rebounding. Brianna McKinney added 14 points and 7 rebounds while Kaicey Sardina got into double figures in rebounding as well with 10. Kate Bourdeau got a rare start and helped her team on offense with a couple of physics defying buckets on the run for 4 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in limited minutes.
Congratulations to our sophomores!
The Timberwolves finish their season on Saturday, February 24th at Clinton.
