Hannah Gould had been getting solid shots on goal all season, but it all came together tonigth as she powered the Timberwolves to a victory over Clinton. Goulds first goal came on a great pass from Abigail Dickinson that set up her right footed shot attempt and gave them their first goal of the match. Later in the match Gould would attack the box and find pay dirt unassisted for the second goal of the match, which was mirrored by the Cougars through regulation. With it all tied up at two each, it would come down to penalty kicks to determine a winner after 90 long minutes of play.
The Timberwolves lined up their first kick from Gould, who of course found the net, capping off a tremendous day. Lauren Vetter would miss the next penalty kick, giving the Cougars a hope, but Lauren Sleicher, Kayla Bizon and Taylor Tharp all executed to tally 4 of 5. Kaylee Coon, who has been spectacular in goal all season, did not disappoint as she was able to save 2 of the 5 shot attempts and secure the victory.
The Timberwolves next play Saturday the 23rd at home versus Niagara.
