Fatigue and Power Get the Best of Timberwolves
Jamestown overpowered the Timberwolves in game three of POD play.
The Lady Timberwolves came into their matchup with Jamestown 1-1 on the day after defeating Niagara and being defeated by Erie earlier in the morning. Jamestown came out of the blocks low and fast and never turned back as they raced to a 25 to 12 win in set one. Coach Li's team looked tired and unfocused for much of the set and wouldn't be able to reverse that as the match progressed, unfortunately. Several times during the match teammates looked at each other for help on live balls, but help wasn't coming, opposing points were. Jamestown had more energy and more power as they spiked, killed and dug their way to a 25-10, 25-10 second and third set to end the day for the Timberwolves.
Kaicey Sardina was the bright spot on a poorly executed match as she continued to play well from the libero position. She led the team in service receptions and digs including several very athletic saves inches from the floor en route to 16 digs for the match.
The team next suits up against Herkimer this Wednesday at 6pm.
