Broome Wins Nail Biter
Broome pulled off a win in game three of POD play over the Timberwolves.
Coach Li took his team into the huddle before game three of POD play against Broome knowing that fatigue had played a factor in some of the team's recent losses and supplied the motivation to fight through that fatigue and finish the day with energy. They responded with a vigorous effort against the Hornets, but the swarming and stinging of the hive was just too much as Broome came away with a 3 sets to 2 victory. 3 of the 5 sets went to extra points and the Timberwolves won on points by 4, but in the score book, which is all that counts, Broome comes out on top.
There was plenty of offense as 3 attackers topped 10 kills, led by Tylor Graham's 18. Isabella Shrestha added 13 with 6 blocks and Maya Phillips punished 11 balls for kills. Breanna MacDuff picked up a mind boggling 45 assists on the match and added 20 digs to be outdone only by Kaicey Sardina's 31.
The Timberwolves end POD play with 2 victories and 1 loss and next play at Fulton-Montgomery on the 27th.
