Timberwolves Defeat Mohawk Valley
The Timberwolves defeated Mohawk Valley in the first game of three on the day.
Volleyball traveled north to take part in POD play hosted by North Country. The day of competition is being held at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, giving the team a chance to see an elite level of training facilities and equipment as they take part in three regional matchups. The first matchup was against Mohawk Valley in the early game and the Timberwolves wasted no time getting out to an early lead taking the first set in dominant style, 25-9. The second set was a much closer competition, but Coach Li and the team was able to pull off the win in extra points, 27-25 behind the great passing of Breanna MacDuff who ended the match with 28 assists. The third set was more of the same from the fresh Timberwolf squad as they finished up the match 25-14. Tylor Graham led the team in kills with 9 with Isabella Shrestha and Maya Phillips not far behind with 7 each.
The team next plays Fulton Montgomery in POD play.
