Sophomores Dominate on Sophomore Night
The Timberwolves sophomores dominated Word of Life on Sophomore Night.
Coach Li presented each of his 4 sophomores a bouquet of flowers before their Sophomore Night match against Word of Life, but he may as well have dealt them each a pair of pocket aces. On second thought, no need they would produce their own aces from behind the service line. The Timberwolves served their way to a 3-0 victory over Word of Life, pounding them for 16 aces and taking the sets in dominant fashion, 25-9, 25-14 and 25-16. Sophomore Maya Phillips accounted for 6 of those aces to go with her 7 kills. Isabella Perroncino, normally a defensive minded player, found the hard wood for 3 aces of her own. Brianna Hammond collected 2 aces and a kill and the fourth Timberwolf sophomore Kaicey Sardina served 3 aces, killed one point and dug 7 balls from the libero position.
Isabella Shrestha led offensive players with 10 kills and a block.
Thank you to the sophomores for all you have done and continue to do for Timberwolves Athletics and SUNY Adirondack!
The Timberwolves close out their season tomorrow at Green Mountain.
