Volleyball Ends Season on High Note
Volleyball traveled to Green Mountain College and netted a 3-0 win over the NCAA opponent.
Volleyball traveled across the border to Vermont as they took on Green Mountain College in their final match of the season. They were not intimidated by the NCAA banners hanging on the walls as they attacked early and often and were able to secure the straight sets victory over the 4 year institution. The Timberwolves secured a 25-10 victory in the first set behind a balanced attack. Breanna MacDuff, Tylor Graham and Maya Phillips found 4 points each, Victoria Bruni collected 5, Brianna Hammond added 2 and Isabella Shrestha killed one point. The second set was more of the same as Tylor Graham accounted for 4 points with Maya Phillips and Victoria Bruni adding 3 each to lead a 25-19 win. The third set concluded the match with a 25-19 victory. Maya Phillips dominated the last set with 7 points and ended the match with 12 kills and 2 aces. Tylor Graham totaled 8 kills and 2 aces with Victoria Bruni adding 8 kills and 1 ace.
Kaicey Sardina, who was named team MVP following the game, anchored the defense with 29 digs. Breanna MacDuff led the team in assists with her consistent passing, which was a staple for the Timberwolves 2017 season.
