Men's Soccer Drop Home Opener
September 6
Queensbury, NY
SUNY Adirondack Men’s Soccer hosted Fulton-Montgomery in their home opener in the first soccer game played on the new turf. It was a tough go of it for the Timberwolves against a very talented opponent. The Raiders put points on the board quickly leading to a four-point lead by the end of the first half. The Timberwolves continued to battle and held Fulton-Montgomery to just two goals in the second half.
Adirondack goalkeepers split time in the goal. Kristian Johnson got the start saving 3 of the 7 shots on goal. Landon Keller finished the game with 5 saves on 7 shots.
Final score, Fulton-Montgomery 6-0.
The Timberwolves earned themselves a win for the Finger Lakes game, slated for Saturday, Sept. 9, due to a Laker's forfeit. Adirondack is back on the field on Sunday, Sept. 10 taking on Genesee Community College at 2pm.
