Men's Soccer Opens With Win
August 30
Saranac Lake, NY
The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves opened the 2023 season on the road against conference foe North Country Community College. It was also the first game for head coach Ethan Gunty.
The first half of play was scoreless but early in the second half the goals started adding up. Adirondack’s Gabriel Hart put an unassisted goal on the board at the 50:00 minute mark. North Country tied it up just five minutes later but Emil Gustafsson found the back of the net 68:00 minutes in on an assist from Gabriel Hart, clinching the win. Kristian Johnson was in the goal for the Timberwolves. He played the full 90 minutes saving 10 shots on goal. Adirondack had 12 shots against North Country.
The Timberwolves are back in action on Saturday, September 2 at Cayuga Community College.
