Softball Drops Two against Monroe
The SUNY Adirondack Softball team lost two games this afternoon to Monroe Community College at Morse Athletic Complex in Glens Falls, NY.
The first game ended 14-9 in favor of Monroe. The Timberwolves surrendered seven runs in the first inning to put themselves in an early hole that they would not get out of. Rachel Yattaw led the team with three hits in four at bats. Kaylee Coon had another strong performance, this time going two of four including a home run and three RBIs. Maddi Mann and Taylor Ringer also collected two hits and two runs for the Timberwolves.
In game two of the afternoon, SUNY Adirondack struggled to get the bats going and lost this one 9-1. Maddi Mann had two hits in this game and scored the sole run for the Timberwolves in the first inning.
It was a 2-1 game going into the bottom of the fifth inning when Monroe would add five runs to put the game out of reach.
With the two losses today, the SUNY Adirondack Softball team now sits at 10-16 on the season.
The Timberwolves will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon when they will face off against Fulton Montgomery Community College at Morse Athletic Complex in Glens Falls, NY. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM.
