Timberwolves Baseball Claims Two Victories against Jefferson
The SUNY Adirondack Baseball team won two games this afternoon against Jefferson Community College at East Field Stadium in Glens Falls, NY.
The first game of the afternoon ended in an 8-3 win for the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves got the offense going early in this one, scoring three runs in the first inning followed by a four run second inning. Max Perrotta earned the win for the Timberwolves on the mound. He pitched four innings while allowing two runs on four hits, striking out seven along the way to tie his season high.
The second game of the double header ended as a 4-2 victory for SUNY Adirondack. Zach Malek pitched a complete game for the Timberwolves, only allowing the two runs off seven hits. Malek recorded nine strike outs in the win, a career high.
Chewy Stubblebine and Joe Battista led the Timberwolves offense in game two, both collecting two hits in three at bats to go along with an RBI. Jared Winkle and Gil Acosta each also had an RBI in the game.
With the two victories today, the Timberwolves are now 14-20-1 on the season and 11-8-1 in conference play.
The Timberwolves will have the rest of the week off and will be back in action on Tuesday May 7th when they will travel to play at Mohawk Valley Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 2 PM.
