Volleyball Finishes Second In Conference Play

Adirondack Volleyball traveled to Johnstown to compete in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference tournament. The #2 Timberwolves were matched up against #3 Hudson Valley. Adirondack beat Hudson Valley in their last two meetings, but as expected, the Vikings came out strong. The first set went down to the wire with Adirondack winning 26-24. The Timberwolves held strong in the second set and came on strong in the third. 26-24, 25-23, 25-11
Adirondack had 31 kills in the match, of which Lilian Slattery had 13 and 18 digs. Lillirose Prevost had 6 digs, 1 kill and 26 assists. Lacey Russell had 24 digs and a couple assists. Miranda Mash had 12 digs, 1 assist and 3 kills. Samantha Manning had 7 digs, 7 kills and 1 assist. Final score 3-0, Adirondack.
The win propelled the Timberwolves into finals where they matched up against #1 Fulton-Montgomery. The Raiders small but mighty squad came out strong taking the first two sets. Adirondack rallied and won the third set but Fulton-Montgomery finished off the match with a fourth set win.

Lilian Slattery had 28 digs, 20 kills and an ace. Lillirose Prevost had 12 digs and 29 assists, Miranda Mash had 17 digs and 8 kills while Lacey Russell had 27 digs and 4 assists. Samantha Manning had 8 digs, 7 kills and an service ace. Final score 3-1, Fulton Montgomery.
The Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference announced their All-Conference selections at the conclusion of the tourament.

Second Team - Miranda Mash
The Timberwolves move into Regional play seeded in the #5 spot. Placed in the NJCAA North A District Bracket, they take on #4 Jefferson on October 28 at Niagara Community College. A win will have them taking on the winner of #1 Fulton-Montgomery v #8 Genesee the following day.
