Bio

Julie Clark joined SUNY Adirondack in January of 2018 as the Assistant Director of Athletics.  She assists in the oversight of the athletics department and Fitness Center.  Clark began her athletics career at Queensbury High School.  She was a standout field hockey and track and field athlete.  She continued her athletic success at Syracuse University where she was a 4-year starter and 2-year captain on the field hockey team.  Clark helped lead the team to their first NCAA appearance, finishing as a quarter finalist.  Some of her accolades include Defensive MVP, First-team All-Big East, Regional All American, National All American and SU Orange Plus Hall of Fame.

Clark’s began her coaching career at Drew University.  She continued her coaching at University of Richmond, James Madison University, Providence College, SUNY New Paltz and Skidmore College.  Although her experiences at the collegiate level were primarily as a field hockey coach, she also acted as Facility Manager, Business Manager and assistant to the Athletics Director at the Division III institutions.  For twelve of those years, Clark also ran youth field hockey camps throughout the East and West coasts.

After leaving the collegiate coaching ranks, Clark entered the private sector and worked as the Director of Sport Programs and Field Hockey at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury. 

She is a certified New York State and United States Field Hockey official.  She officiates modified, junior varsity and varsity games at the local level and Division I, II and III games at the collegiate level.  She has been selected on numerous occasions to officiate at the DIII Final Four Championships.  Clark also works as an assignor for the Liberty League and is the Chairperson of New York State Field Hockey Officials.

Clark graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science.
