The SUNY Adirondack Baseball team defeated Jefferson Community College 5-4 in the first game of a Sunday doubleheader at East Field. SUNY Adirondack held a 5-0 lead heading into the final inning of play and was able to hold off a late surge by Jefferson C.C. to win by a score of 5-4.
Timberwolves starting pitcher Ben Marsh earned the win. He lasted six innings, allowed five hits and four runs while striking out nine. Josh Brase earned a save by coming in to relieve Marsh in the final inning of play.
The Timberwolves were led by the bat of Greg Johnson, who went 2-3 with three RBI's at the dish.
The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves return to action on Tuesday, April 24th versus Mohawk Valley Community College at East Field.
