Baseball Drops Game 1 to Niagara
The Timberwolves faced off against #3 ranked Niagara to start their post season and sent Josh Brase to the mound.
Brase fought out of trouble in the first and second inning, but the Thunderwolves finally got to him in the 3rd. He recorded 2 outs without giving up a run, but 2 walks, an error and a double plated 4 for the offense. He left the game with an apparent arm injury which was surely affecting his command. Joe Micare relieved him and gave up 2 more runs, charged to Brase to bring the score to 7-0 Niagara.
Matt Zita and Jordan Prehoda led off the 3rd with a single and walk and were driving home by Eric Corhouse and Brent McGhee to dig into the lead, but the Thunderwolves would put it away in the 4th. They scored 6 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks and an error to bring the score to 13-2.
The Timberwolves play game two with their backs against the wall following a short break.
