Adirondack Baseball Prove They Can Win

Adirondack Baseball put their game into overdrive when they took on Rowan College of South Jersey – Cumberland in their third and last game of the series.
The Timberwolves opened the scoring in the second after a Rowan error scored two runs. They added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Terel Tillman singled. Rowan snuck one run past Adirondack in the bottom of the fifth but the Timberwolves showed patience at the plate. A number of walks in the sixth inning adding four runs to the score. They added an additional four runs in the seventh inning. Dylan Cavanaugh doubled, scoring one run, Jack Taylor doubled, scoring one run and John Wilsey homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Xavier Garcia started the game for Adirondack. The left-hander gave up one hit and one run over six innings, striking out six and walking five. Brody Rogers threw one inning of relief for Adirondack. The right hander allowed one hit, striking out one and walking one.
Tillman went 2-for-4 at the plate for Adirondack. Wilsey lead with three runs batted in. Final score 12-1, Adirondack
The team is back on the road in weekend play against Region 15 teams Westchester and Rockland on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
