Adirondack Baseball Fall to Oakton Owls

Making up for a canceled game the day before, SUNY Adirondack took to the field for their second game of the day against Oakton Community College. Oakton put two runs on the board first. In the bottom of the first inning, Jake Terwilliger doubled on a line drive to left field scoring Chico Maldonado. The Owls countered in the forth adding four runs of their own. In the bottom of the third inning, Kai Brennan singled scoring Maldanado. Jared Potter put a run on the board for Adirondack in the bottom of the fourth but Oakton continued to preasure and added two more runs in the top of the seventh inning securing their win. Final score 8-3, Oakton
Kai Brennan and Chino Maldonado each collected two hits for Adirondack while Brennan, Gabriel Garcia and Jake Terwilliger each drove in one run. The Timberwolves turned one double play in the game.
Brody Rogers started on the hill for Adirondack. The righty surrendered eight hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Dylan Cavanaugh came in for relief facing eight batters over two innings.
Adirondack has the day to rest before meeting Lakeland Community College in an evening game on Tuesday.
