Baseball's Wilsey Hits Walk Off To Take Win

It was a wild game of baseball when SUNY Adirondack took on Lakeland Community College on Tuesday evening. Lakeland put two runs on the board in the first inning but Adirondack turned that around in the bottom of the second inning, scoring five runs to take a 5-2 lead. Lakeland tied the game in the top of the third then added another three runs in the top of the fourth. The Timberwolves countered in the bottom of the sixth inning putting three runs on the board, tying the score 8-8. In the top of the seventh inning, the Lakers added five more runs to their score. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game on the line, Adirondack scored seven runs on two hits. The deciding factor in the inning was a grand slam to left field by John Wilsey that drove in four runs. Kyle Kristel and Wilsey each collected two hits for Adirondack.
Kai Brennan opened the game for Adirondack. The righty surrendered three hits and seven runs (six earned) over three innings. AJ Garcia pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Timberwolves. The southpaw gave up three hits and six runs (two earned) while striking out two and walking two.
