More Hits For Baseball Against Cayuga But No Win
March 30
Queensbury, NY
SUNY Adirondack Baseball played their second game of the day against regional opponent Cayuga CC. Adirondack got on the board in the first inning after Chino Maldonado singled, scoring a run. Cayuga put four runs on the board in the top of the third. The Timberwolves added two runs from a Maldanado line drive to right field, scoring Liam Helm and John Wilsey. A homerun in the top of the fifth inning, scoring two runs for the Spartans, dampened Adirondack's spirits. Despite out-hitting Cayuga ten to nine, the Timberwolves couldn't pull off the win. Final score 6-4, Cayuga
Brody Rogers started the game for Adirondack. He surrendered eight hits and six runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Owen Rowe came in for Rogers, throwing for three innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.
Since the weather isn't cooperating, Adirondack has postponed their road trip to Jefferson to later in the month. Assuming the weather will improve, the Timberwolves will face Jefferson at home on Saturday, April 6.
