Adirondack Baseball Wins Against Hudson Valley

SUNY Adirondack Baseball took on conference opponent Hudson Valley in the first of two games on Thursday evening. The games were pushed back to the later start because of rain. The Timberwolves opened up the scoring in the bottom of the third inning thanks to a singles by Andrew Santa Barbara and Aiden Parslow. Kyle Kristel singled on a bunt toward third base, scoring two runs. John Wilsey singled on a line drive, bringing home Kristel. Gabriel Garcia singled on a ground ball toward left field, scoring Wilsey. The Vikings flipped the game scoring five runs in the top of the fourth inning. Adirondack re-captured the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when Chino Maldonado doubled, scoring two runs and Garcia singled, scoring a run.
Righty, Brody Rogers earned the win for Adirondack. Rogers allowed seven hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking six. Dylan Cavanaugh appeared in relief for Adirondack, facing two batters.
The Timberwolves accumulated eleven hits in the game. Santa Barbara, Garcia and Kristel each collected two hits. Garcia, Kristel and Maldonado each drove in two runs. Final score 7-5, Adirondack
