Baseball Closes Out Season In The East-West Division Series
May 11
Niagara Falls, NY
SUNY Adirondack Baseball was back on the field in game two, of a best of three series, against SUNY Niagara. The Thunderwolves got right to work putting five runs on the board in the first inning. Adirondack produced two runs in the fourth inning when Chino Maldonado doubled on a fly ball to center field. It allowed Andrew Santa Barbara and Peyton Richardson to score. Although Santa Barbara led the Timberwolves with three hits in four at bats and Jared Potter collected two hits in three at bats, and Maldonado went 1-for-2 on the day, it wouldn't be enough to out-pace Niagara. The Thunderwolves would add a run in the six and seventh innings, securing their win.
Xavier Garcia took the loss for Adirondack. The righty pitched six innings, giving up six runs on ten hits, striking out nine and walking one. Final score 7-2, Niagara
With these losses, Adirondack Baseball closes out their season with a 17-21 record. The Timberwolves finished 6-3 in the conference with a .667 winning percentage and 10-7 in regional play with a .588 winning percentage.
