Timberwolves Come up Short, Despite Out Hitting Cayuga

Despite recording eight hits to Cayuga's five, SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves Baseball was narrowly defeated 4-3 on Sunday in the first leg of a double-header. Ryan Reagan led the Timberwolves with a standout performance, collecting three hits, including a solo home run to left field in the second inning.
Cayuga took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after D. Emilio drew a walk to score one run, followed by a two-run single from Allison and a run-scoring single by Ross.
Seward earned the win for Cayuga, pitching four and one-third innings while allowing seven hits and three runs (two earned). He struck out three and walked three. Caleb Nelson took the loss for the Timberwolves, surrendering four runs on five hits in four innings. Nelson also struck out three but issued five walks.
Juan Cornelio added two hits in four at-bats for SUNY Adirondack, while the Timberwolves' defense was flawless, committing no errors. Dylan Cavanaugh had the most chances in the field with four.
Cayuga's Allison, the number nine hitter, led the team with two RBIs, going 2-for-3 on the day. D. Emilio was also a major contributor, stealing three bases as Cayuga totaled five stolen bases in the game. The team also showcased solid defense, turning two double plays.
