Men's Basketball Defeats Davis College
The SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball team earned their first victory of the season Friday night, defeating Davis College 105-71.
The Timberwolves got out to a quick lead and never looked back. Sophomore guard Tavon Price led the way for the Timberwolves scoring 30 points and matching a career high with 10 assists.
Freshman center Devon Singleton had a great performance in his fourth career game as a Timberwolf, scoring 20 points while pulling down a team high 15 rebounds.
Freshman forward Darien Bigelow provided a great spark off the bench for the Timberwolves, scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to help the team earn their first win.
Also scoring in double figures was freshman Jeremiah Dennis. In his second start of the season, Dennis scored 12 points on 5-7 shooting while also grabbing 6 boards, 5 assists, and 2 steals in the victory.
Freshman Peyton Hosner scored 6 points on 2-2 shooting from behind the arc in his first career start as a Timberwolf.
Daevon Zaheer Owens set a new career high with 9 points in the victory.
Freshman guard Victor Roca tied for the team lead with 10 assists, setting a new career best.
Following the win, the Timberwolves are now 1-15 on the season. They will look to build off this game and earn their first conference win on Sunday when they will host Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
