Men's Basketball Defeats SUNY Schenectady
The SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball team defeated the SUNY Schenectady Royals Monday night, 91-62.
The Timberwolves came out with something to prove after falling to SUNY Schenectady by one point back on Januray 20th. This time around, they played arguably their best game of the season on the way to their first conference win.
Sophomore guard Tavon Price led the way yet again for the Timberwolves, putting together a complete performance on both sides of the court. Price led all scorers with 30 points on 12-17 shooting. This was the eighth straight game Price has scored at least 30 points. Price also grabbed 10 rebounds, tied a team high 7 assists, and had 3 steals.
Freshman forward Darien Bigelow scored 15 points and had a game high 12 rebounds to help the Timberwolves secure the victory.
Freshman guard Victor Roca provided a great spark off the bench for the Timberwolves, scoring 21 points on 8-13 shooting including 5-8 beyond the arc.
Following the victory, the Timberwolves are now 2-21 on the season. They will be back in action next on Wednesday February 12th when they will travel to face Herkimer College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
