Men's Basketball Holds off Lazer's Late Push for 7th Straight Win
SYRACUSE, NY –
The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves men's basketball team continued their impressive season with a commanding 82-71 victory over Onondaga Community College on the road, securing their 7th consecutive win. The victory pushes the Timberwolves to a 12-2 record on the year and marks a strong start to their weekend back-to-back matchups.
Despite a late surge from Onondaga, Adirondack was able to maintain control of the game, holding off the Lazer's charge in the final minutes. The Timberwolves were led by standout guard Jaylan Sammy, who poured in 26 points to help his team to the win. Jude Wilkins contributed with 13 points, while Moose McLuarin and Tyre Williams each added 11 points in the effort.
"This was a big win for us, especially on the road," said Head Coach, Maxx Sweet. "Onondaga gave us a tough fight late in the game, but our guys did a great job staying focused and executing down the stretch. Jaylan was outstanding today, and we got strong contributions from everyone. We're excited to carry this momentum into tomorrow's game."
The Timberwolves will look to extend their win streak tomorrow, as they head to Jefferson Community College for their second game of the weekend back-to-back. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM tip-off.
