Tompkins Cortland Community College
The SUNY Adirondack Softball team swept Tompkins-Cortland Community College in Sunday's doubleheader at Morse Field, winning the first game by a score of 13-4 and the second game 14-11. Game two of the doubleheader was a slugfest for both teams, but the Timberwolves ended up on top thanks to 17 total hits.
Hannah Salmon had a huge day at the plate, going 5-5 with a double, 3 runs scored, and 5 RBI's. Carly Hildenbrandt went 3-4 with 2 SB, 2 RBI's and Kaylee Coon, Elizabeth Richards and Hannah Grady all had 2 hits each.
Richards got the win for the Timberwolves after coming in to pitch in the 5th inning. She threw the last two and two-thirds, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out two.
The Timberwolves return to action at Morse Field on Tuesday, April 24th vs. Hudson Valley Community College.
