Softball Defeats Finger Lakes In High Scoring Game

SUNY Adirondack Softball headed West to take on regional opponent Finger Lakes in weekend play. The Timberwolves bats were hot from the start of the first inning. Adirondack got on the board in the top of the first inning after Maddy Wasserman walked, Alyssa Jaffe doubled, and Lillian Slattery singled, each scoring one run. Wasserman doubled in the second inning, while Morgan Randall singled, each scoring one run. The Timberwolves scored six runs on six hits in the top the third inning. Jarvis doubled, scoring one run, Wasserman drew a walk, scoring a run, Jaffe singles, scoring one run, Paeton Butler doubled, scoring two runs, and a steal at home scored one run. Jarvis went 4-for-5 at the plate, the team as whole collected 18 hits in the game and stole 12 bases.
Wasserman earned the win for Adirondack allowing 10 hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking 10. Final score 13-10, Adirondack
