Softball Falls To Strong CCRI

SUNY Adirondack Softball hosted Region 21 Community College of Rhode Island in a non-conference doubleheader on Friday afternoon. CCRI put two runs on the board in the first inning and kept pace in all but one inning. Timberwolves Madison Pincheon scored on a steal of home to get on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning. It took Adirondack until the sixth inning to come alive. Marissa Jarvis doubled, scoring two runs, Morgan Randal doubled, scoring two runs, and Paeton Bulter doubled, scoring one run. By that point, CCRI had eleven runs under their belt and kept the pressure on adding nine more in the top of the seven. Adirondack couldn't recover.
Aubreigh DeMello led things off in the circle for Adirondack. The righty allowed ten hits and sevens runs over five innings, striking out one and walking three. Samantha Manning threw for two innings giving up thirteen runs on eleven hits, striking out one. Final score 20-6, CCRI
