Adirondack Softball Drops Home Opener vs CCRI
Queensbury, NY – After a challenging 2-6 record during their spring games in Florida last week, the SUNY Adirondack softball team opened their home season with a tough loss against the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) on Saturday. The first game of the doubleheader ended in a 15-4 defeat for Adirondack after five innings of play.
Despite the loss, the Lady Timberwolves showed strong individual performances at the plate. Sophomore Marissa Jarvis contributed significantly, recording two hits and driving in two RBIs. Freshman Morgan Randall also provided an offensive spark, driving in two runs for the team. However, it wasn't enough to overcome the dominant performance from CCRI, who capitalized on early runs and continued to build their lead throughout the game.
The Lady Timberwolves will look to bounce back in the second leg of their home opener against CCRI and as they prepare for upcoming matchups.
